On June 19th, an EF-0 Tornado went through the Northwood Park neighborhood. It left multiple families displaced and caused a significant amount of damage to their homes.
In September, the DC Metro announced that they will be constructing a new Purple line to add to the metro system. This new line will connect Bethesda to PG county. With the announcement came immediate closing of the ever so popular Capital Crescent Trail. And because of this, huge protests came.

Bethesda made another one of Niche.com’s top list. The area was ranked as the 7th best place to live based on their public schools, family accommodation, diversity, nightlife, and housing.
